Die italienische Power Metal Band Dragonhammer wurde 1999 von Max Aguzzi, Gae Amodio und Marino Deyana ins Leben gerufen. Nachdem sie noch im selben Jahr ihr Demo "Age of Glory" auf ihrer Webseite veröffentlichten und damit auf sich aufmerksam machten, folgte 2001 das Album "The Blood of the Dragon".
