Fred Wesley (* 1943 in Mobile, Alabama) ist ein US-amerikanischer Posaunist und kommt ursprünglich aus dem Jazz. Die Horny Horns waren ein Bläser-Team aus Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Rick Gardner und Richard Griffith, die von ca. 1974-1980 nach ihrer Zeit bei James Brown in verschiedensten Formationen um George Clinton und P-Funk spielten. Mit Count Basie sammelte Wesley seine ersten Erfahrungen, bevor er in den 1960er Jahren zu James Brown kam und fester Bestandteil des Bläsersatzes wurde. Read more on Last.fm
